Marinov will manage tourism sector development, after the sector’s representation was transferred to the Economy Ministry.
Until present, State Agency for Tourism (SAT) functioned as the national institution responsible for tourism. SAT will be closed down completely in September.
Marinov is a head of the expert group that worked on Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria’s (CEDB) tourism pre-election program. CEDB is the party that won the majority vote in the last Bulgarian parliamentary elections.
During the past week, tourism representatives showed support to Marinov’s nomination.
