Grown Apart

Bulgaria hosted the European Championship for Women, which begins today (August 30, 2011) and will continue to 3 September.

Organizers of the five-day tournament, held at Club BlackSeaRama, are the Bulgarian Golf Association (BGA) and the European Golf Association (EGA).

The tournament will involve 60 women over the age of 50 from 10 countries - Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

This is  the prestigious golf competition for women, organized in Bulgaria so far. Both associations have organized tournaments as EGA Boys Challenge and EGA Men's Challenge, which took place in 2009 and 2010.
