Veliko Turnovo will host the 12th edition of its international folk festival from July 18 to August 1.
Folk groups from 14 countries among which Martinique, Japan, Venezuela, Mexico and Uzbekistan will present themselves during the festival days.
Five Bulgarian groups will also participate.
The folk festival is the only one in Bulgaria that has been acknowledged by UNESCO’s international council dealing with folk fests and traditional arts events.
The festival has been taking place since 1998.
