Revenue from hunting tourism in Bulgaria in 2008 has reached 3.2 million euro, news.bg reported.
These figures were presented during the opening of the Nature, Hunting and Fishing fair in Plovdiv.
Head of the state forestry agency Stefan Iuroukov said that the agency’s revenue has exceeded 70 million euro. The planned amount was no more than 61.5 million euro.
Some problems were also pointed out. Due to the poor management of water basins, some valuable fish species are diminishing. Such developments make Bulgarian fishermen select alternative destinations in Greece and Serbia.
