Journalists from German Geo magazine visited Bulgaria’s town of Belogradchik. The mayor of Belogradchik Emil Tsankov and journalists discussed tourism development in the region.
Journalists explored landmarks and collected information about Belogradchik and tourism sites in the region. Their aim of their trip is to popularize Belogradchik as a tourism destination in Germany.
In 2009, Belogradchik Rocks were among the landmarks competing to be named one of the new world seven wonders of nature. The Bulgarian landmark ranked among the 77 out of 261 landmarks to make it to the next stage of the competition.
