from 01.07.2010 15:59       Author - Tourist Media
The European Commission (EC) is offering 21 measures in order to keep Europe as leading tourism destination worldwide.

The new structure in the European Union (EU) tourism policy will focus on four topics.

EC aims to improve the competitiveness of Europe’s tourism product, to create sustainable and responsible tourism. One of the topics focuses on affirming Europe’s image as quality destination.
EC will encourage innovations, improvements of professional skills and creating year-round tourism opportunities.

The commission will be responsible for suggesting a strategy for sustainable seaside tourism development and the exchange of good tourism practices.

The creation of a European tourism brand is one of the major aims of EC. The brand will be created in cooperation with all EU countries.

Improved cooperation between tourism organizations in EU countries will help for the presentation of tourism opportunities via the European website visiteurope.com.
