A big number of the entertainment spots situated in the marine garden in the coastal city of Bourgas will remain closed in 2009 because of the high rent that the municipality demands.
Information was presented during a press conference. Head of the union of owners Kiril Panaiotov was present, Bulgarian news agency reported.
Bourgas municipality has increased rents several times. The rent presently is 35 leva per sq m. Annual rents for one entertainment spot vary between 6000 and 7000 leva per year.
Owners are also complaining that the municipality demands fine payment for the period during which the entertainment spots refrained from functioning.
