The European Union (EU) banned most of Iran Air’s airplanes from landing at its because of safety considerations, the European Commission (EC) announced.
EU enforced the ban for Airbus A-320, Boeing B-727 and B-747. The same ban is valid for an aviation company from Surinam.
On July 6, EC updated the list of airlines banned from landing on the territory of the union.
The updated list includes four airlines, which are fully banned from operating in the union: Ariana Afghan Airlines from Afghanistan, Blue Wing Airlines from Surinam, Siem Reap Airways International from Cambodia and Silverback Cargo Freighters from Rwanda.
The total number of banned aviation companies is 278 from 17 countries.
