Dutch ambassadors assess the development of the project New Thracian gold

From 25 August to 2 September ambassadors of the charity organization Dutch Postcode Lottery will visit the Eastern Rhodopes and see the achievements made in the project "The New Thracian gold".

Organization funded the project, which focuses on sustainable development of the Eastern Rhodopes.

From 1 June the Dutch ambassadors Rikus Wegman and Sijmen Tenwolde travel around the world to assess what had been made by the charitable organizations, including and "The New Thracian gold".

In the Eastern Rhodopes both young guys will participate in color marking the eco path Madzharovo-Chernichino during a training tour for local nature guides. Rikus and Sijmen will have the opportunity to see the rich biodiversity of the beautiful Eastern Rhodopes, to meet with local people and experts on the project, to discuss its potential as a prosperous nature lovers’ destination and report about the achievements made by NTG in its three components: eco tourism, organic farming and wilderness.

Eastern Rhodopes are in the middle of the journey of the ambassadors, which covers places such as Bonaire, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, South Africa, Spain, India, Thailand, Cambodia and Borneo.
