Roads in Bulgaria are dry, Focus news agency reported. Wet sections hinder traffic in the Rhodope region and in mountain areas.
Tvurditsa-Elena, Etropole-Zlatitsa and Prohodut na Repoublikata passes are still closed.
Renovation works are ongoing on the Roudozem-Sofia, Polski Trumbesh-Svishtov, Plovdiv-Smolyan, Montana-Lom, Levski-Pavlikeni, Loukovit-Koritna and Iablanitsa-Koritna roads, as well as on main road E-79 and in the region of Sofia’s Pancherevo district.
Intense traffic is expected today because of the upcoming holidays from May 1 to May 6. Special traffic organization has been created at Sofia’s exit points in order to facilitate drivers.
