A new regular airline from Sofia, Bulgaria to Doha, Qatar will start in December 2010.
The announcement was made after Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov took part in a press conference in Qatar.
Bulgarian and Qatar’s transport ministers signed an agreement concerning the establishment of the flight line. According to Borisov, the new airline will make it easier for passengers from Qatar to travel to European destinations apart from Sofia.
The new line will increase Sofia Airport traffic and the airport’s revenue from airport taxation, Borisov said.
