Decrease of six to seven percent in tourist figures will be success for Bulgaria
from 03.08.2009 09:40       Author - Tourist Media
Summer tourism season 2009 could be named successful if the decrease in the number of tourist visits remains between six and seven percent, head of the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA) Blagoi Ragin told Focus news agency.

Tourism in some world-famous resorts experienced decrease of up to 30 percent. Bulgaria is expecting better results during August.

The country could experience a peak in hunting tourism but in order to attract wealthy tourists, it has to give all hunting grounds on concession.

Tourist interest is currently highest in cultural sites and spa resorts. The leading tourism destinations are Velingrad, Hissaria, Devin, Pomorie, Sandanski and Kyustendil.
