Bulgaria’s Culture Ministry will provide 150 000 leva from the funds needed for excavation works at Veliko Turnovo’s Trapezitsa hill, radio Focus-Veliko Turnovo reported.
In this way archaeologists will have 25 000 leva for each independent excavation site, head of the national archaeology institute Margarita Vaklinova said. An agreement concerning the provision of funding will be signed on May 7.
Excavations will begin in May. The conservation of the sites will be more expensive than the excavation works. It will cost approximately one million leva.
