A charity auction for the belongings of skiing champions will take place during the official opening of the winter season in the resort of Bansko.
Marc Girardelli, Pirmin Zurbriggen, Bulgarian skiers Petar Popangelov, Bojan Krizaj, Paul Accola, Patrick Ortlieb, Peter Muller and Hubert Strolz will endow their personal belongings.
All funds raised through the auction will be used in the Learn How to Ski campaign that is targeted towards the promotion of winter sports among Bulgarian children.
Popangelov will provide his ski shoes or a start number, he said.
