A new marketing strategy has to turn the Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko into a major European winter tourism and sports center, Dnevnik daily reported.
The strategy includes TV ads and the creation of promotional materials. A website providing information to foreign professionals will help for better cooperation.
The marketing strategy is to be drafted following an Operational Program Regional Development project.
Bansko will focus on spa, rural and cultural opportunities for tourism development. New tourism information offices will be set up in Bansko, Dobrinishte and other settlements in the region.
According to the project, the advertising campaign will start in December 2010.
