Bulgarians who traveled abroad from October to December 2009 spent on the average 1095 leva (about 560 euro), National Statistical Institute (NSI) announced.
The biggest amount of funds spent during tourism travels were allocated to food (38 percent)
According to NSI, the number of Bulgarians who travel abroad has decreased 8.4 percent for the period from October to December 2009 in comparison to figures for the same period in 2008.
The total number of Bulgarians who traveled abroad totaled 1.178 million.
During the third quarter of 2009, 54.9 of all Bulgarians who traveled abroad were tourists. Most of the people who undertook a trip were aged 15 to 34.
