Bulgaria’s only wax museum will open doors in Veliko Turnovo. The collection will include 27 figures of Bulgarian tsars made of wax and silicone, Standart daily reported.
Some authentic clothing will be used to present the lifestyle of specific epochs. The collection will also include items presenting the living of Bulgaria’s royal families. Apart from having the chance to explore the collection, tourists will be allowed to dress in the costumes and to take photographs sitting on the tsar’s throne.
The museum’s exhibition area totals 700 sq m. The collection will be placed in the underground section of the museum of history.
Execution of the project is worth 7.6 million leva. Veliko Turnovo municipality will provide 15 percent of the funding. The project will mainly rely on European financing.
