Bulgarian ruling party Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) suggested amendments to the full smoking ban to be valid for public places, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
The full smoking ban had to be enforced on June 1 2010.
CEDB suggested yet another change. According to its project, owners of restaurants having area over 100 sq. m should be given the chance to provide separate rooms for smokers and non-smokers.
According to the party, a full smoking ban will affect the country’s tourism sector.
If Bulgarian Parliaments approves the amendments, the flexible ban on smoking will be in force from June 1.
