Bulgarian policemen will be sent by work exchange program in four Greek resorts in the region of Thessaloniki and Kavala, Trud Daily reported. Policemen will work in common Bulgarian-Greek patrols. Bulgarian police officers will patrol in Nea Peramos, Paralia, Ofrinio, Stavros and Asprovalta.
Each team will consist of two policemen who speak Greek fluently. These four resorts are chosen for the exchange program because of the large amount of Bulgarian tourists there. Bulgarian policeman patrols will assist Greek police officers but will not be authorized to arrest. Bulgarian ski resort Bansko was the first one on the Balkans where the exchange policeman program was tested.
