European funding could be used in the development of tourism projects in 148 Bulgarian municipalities, lev.bg reported.
Municipalities should apply for funding from the regional development program. The deadline for applying is September 4 2009.
EU funding totals 82.85 million leva.
The aim of the project is to create competitive tourism products in various parts of the country, instead of having them concentrated in a few areas. Tourism products will be created in a manner that will turn them into symbols of specific regions.
