National Railway Infrastructure Company registered a deficit of 50 million leva, company general manager Anton Ginev said.
The main reason for the negative financial result is the 20 percent decrease in the company’s income registered from April to June 2009, and the slowness of payments from Bulgarian State Railways.
In order to overcome the financial crisis, the company will reduce salaries by 30 percent. It is still unclear if the company will terminate servicing some lines.
