Revenue from the visits of foreign tourists registered a decrease of 2.35 percent in June 2010, a study by Bulgarian National Bank shows.
Foreign tourists generated income of 901.1 million euro since the beginning of 2010. The revenue in June totaled 314.5 million euro. The decrease on annual basis totals 0.92 percent.
The decrease in income occurred, despite the higher number of visitors from other countries, investor.bg reported. The increase totaled 9.2 percent. Greek visitors were the fastest growing group, though they failed compensating for the decrease of visits from other countries.
Bulgarian tourists, who traveled abroad in June, spent 76 million euro in comparison to 114.7 million euro in June 2009.
