The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) and Russian Federal Tourism Agency (Rosturizm) announced statistics about the most popular tourism destinations for Russian tourists, tourism-review.com reported.
Bulgaria and Tunisia rank seventh in the chart.
Turkey remains the destination that the biggest number of Russian tourists prefer. Egypt ranks second . Spain and Greece rank third and fourth. Unexpectedly, Thailand occupies the fifth place, Cyprus comes after Thailand.
The eight place is for Montenegro and Croatia, the Dominican Republic is ninth. The Czech Republic takes the final place in the top 10.
According to tour operators, many destinations have started recovering from the crisis. Russian tourist visits to European countries increased 20 percent in June. In 2009 Russian tourism travels registered 15 to 18 percent decrease. According to experts, Russian tourists might register record number of holidays abroad in 2010.
