Bulgaria’s forestry agency will offer on concession 34 hunting grounds, dnevnik.bg reported.
Zones will be offered on concession for a period of 15 years. Concessionaires will have to invest in game preservation. Profit will be generated mainly through hunting tourism.
Tenders will take place by the end of June.
Investment volume will be the main criterion for the selection of concessionaires, agency head Iordan Radoslavov said.
Ecologists protested against the decision since they worry about wildlife destruction and free access to these zones. Some legal changes have been made because of these demands.
