From April 28 to 29 Bulgaria’s capital of Sofia hosted a summit of the European Commission of United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
The main topic of discussion during session was the financial crisis and its impact worldwide and on Bulgaria in particular.
UNWTO Secretary-General Taleb Rifai took part during the summit in Sofia.
Other topics of discussion included the creation of a national tourism organization in Bulgaria, the designation of tourism regions and the creation of a unified tourism information system in the country.
