National Vine & Wine Chamber in Bulgaria is developing nine wine routes. Along these, tourists will be able to visit both big and small wine-cellars, Dnevnik daily reported.
Wine tourism in Bulgaria can readily be combined with the exploration of historic landmarks, as well as with rural and eco tourism.
The national chamber is also working on a project for the construction of 1333 small wine-cellars in Bulgaria. The small cellars will also be part of the routes. The idea is for vineyards having area of 20 to 100 decares to become small family cellars producing modest amounts of unique wines.
Small family wine-cellars will be among the attractions of the routes.
