Bulgaria expecting seven percent increase in the number of local visitors
from 21.07.2009 09:27       Author - Tourist Media
Bulgarian resorts are expecting the visits of nearly four million tourists in July and August, Novinite Dnes daily reported.

The institute of tourism analyses and evaluations announced the figures, saying that the number of Bulgarian tourists will increase seven percent.

Head of the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA) Blagoi Ragin said that the sector will rely mostly on the visits of local tourists.

Positive development is expected in the sphere of cultural tourism, which is much less affected by the crisis than traditional types of tourism.

Some of the most popular destinations for tourists include the Belogradchik Rocks, Perperikon and Tsarevets hill.
