Bulgaria and Greece fail utilizing efficiently tourism development projects
from 27.04.2010 14:58       Author - Tourist Media
Bulgaria and Greece have developed many projects in tourism, but these projects are inefficiently utilized.

Dora Iankova, mayor of the Bulgarian town of Smolyan, commented the issue during a press conference on cross-border cooperation. These projects could be used as a measure against the financial crisis, Radio Focus-Smolyan reported.

The lack of tourism routes connecting Bulgaria to Greece is a major problem for tourism development. It hinders the economic development of the border regions, Iankova said.

The setting up of all new planned border checkpoints between Bulgaria and Greece is an essential anti-crisis measure, Iankova added.

The construction of the road from Roudozem to Xanthi will connect Central and South Bulgaria with Northern Greece.
