The archaeological preserve of Madara is seeing increasing number of foreign tourist visits, radio Focus-Shoumen reported.
Foreign tourists visit the complex mostly during the weekends. Most of them come as part of organized groups.
Renovation works of the preserve, as well as the undertaking of safety measures has ended. All preserve caves are open for visitors.
Since the beginning of 2009, nearly 20 000 tourists entered the preserve using the main gate. Small side entrances probably saw as many visits, preserve manager Borislav Borisov said.
