Bulgaria’s Albena resort registered a 30 percent decrease in the number of foreign tourists, Darik Radio reported.
Only tourist visits from Slovakia have registered an increase in comparison to figures for 2008.
Despite the decrease in the number of foreign tourists, in July and August Bulgarian tourists registered an increase in visits in comparison to figures for 2008, Albena’s deputy sales manager said.
Albena resort registered a seven percent decrease in bookings for August. The resort is expecting a 12 percent decrease for the entire season.
