British museum exhibits for the first time the oldest gold treasure discovered in Europe

Great Britain welcomed oldest treasure discovered in Europe. The gold treasure from the Varna necropolis has arrived in the country for the first time.

The treasure of is part of an exhibition presented in Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archeology exhibition.

The exhibition named “The Lost World Of Old Europe: The Danube Valley, 5000-3500 BC” will be on display in the museum from May 20 till August 15. The collection includes a series of valuable gold artifacts.

Institute for the Study of the Ancient World at New York University (ISAW) and the National History Museum of Romania organized the exhibition with the help of the Varna Regional Museum of History and the National Museum of Archaeology and History of Moldova.
