The Bourgas museum of history will present a new exhibition named Khan Tervel – the Savior of Europe.
The collection includes 20 photo boards presenting all evidence concerning the rule of Tervel and its aftermath. Information concerns the period from the 7th to the 18th centuries.
For the first time, scientists have been able to put together information from newly discovered and old sources.
The rule of khan Tervel led to the development of Bourgas in the 7th and 8th centuries. Tervel’s successful military and diplomatic activities led to the expansion of the Bulgarian state.
Visitors of the museum will have the chance to explore the collection starting August 14, 4 pm.
