Olympic and world ski champions attended the official opening of winter season 2009/2010 in Bulgaria’s Bansko resort. They took part in demonstrations on the ski run and in a slalom competition.Marc Girardelli won the slalom in competition with Pirmin Zurbriggen, Bulgarian skier Petar Popangelov, Bojan Krizaj, Paul Accola, Patrick Ortlieb, Peter Muller and Hubert Strolz.
