Bansko and the Polish city Zakopane are to exchange experience in the tourist branch. The Bansko’s mayor Alexander Kravarov had a meeting with the mayor of Zakopane Janusz Majcher following the World Ski Cup, which took place on the 26th and 27th of February 2011 in Bansko.
The two municipalities has already realized a project called Bansko – Zakopane – Exchange of good practices and co-operation for development and marketing of wind tourism. Bulgarian and Polish hotel representatives met in both cities to exchange experience in the tourist business during the realization of the project.
There is a possibility of future co-operation in youth activities, museums, culture and sport as it was discussed on the mayors meeting. The mayor of the Polish city said that he was positively surprised by the way the World Ski Cup had been organized.
