Balkan countries should present a unified tourism product to increase its efficiency, Bulgarian News Agency reported. The idea came under discussion during a summit in Velingrad.
Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant (BHRA) and the Bulgarian Hotel Associations Alliance suggested the idea.
The tourism sector should unite to meet spa tourism requirements, head of State Agency for Tourism (SAT) Anelia Kroushkova said.
Spa and wellness tourism forms 17 to 18 percent of the Bulgarian overall tourism product.
Bulgaria should work on infrastructure improvements, better quality of service and unified tourism standards, head of the International Hotel and Restaurant Association Ghassan Aidi.
