Avalanche danger in Bulgaria’s mountain regions decreases

Weather in mountain regions is fair and tourism conditions everywhere are good, Standart daily reported. Avalanche danger has decreased but tourists should still refrain from undertaking major mountain walks.

Vitosha features cloudy weather. Avalanche danger exists and tourists should use processed tracks only. Freezing to death danger exists, as well.

Significant avalanche danger exists in Pirin Mountain. Snow coverage in Bansko’s ski zone has reached 225 cm. Todorka and Tomba tracks are banned for usage and Strazhite and Tsurna Mogila are closed.

Rila features sunny weather. Avalanche danger exists near Markoudzhik 3 ski track. Sitniakovo 2 and Martinovi Baraki 4 tracks are closed.

The snow coverage in Pamporovo varies between 80 and 140 cm. All tourism facilities of Pamporovo and Chepelare resorts are functioning.
