Archaeologists discovered over 120 ceramic figures depicting birds during excavation works of a prehistoric mound near Iunatsite village, Focus news agency reported.
The figures present the mythological perceptions of the people who lived during the fifth millennium before Christ.
Each figure represents a different bird. Some of them have holes in the middle and were probably hanged somewhere or used as child toys.
Archaeologists discovered figures that mix human and animal features. One of the figures has eagle wing and a human face. This signifies that people considered animals divine and believed that they gave the origin of entire tribes.
