A second chamber of the Thracian tomb near Popovo has been discovered, radio Focus-Shoumen reported.
By the end of the week archaeologists will have more information about the function of the new finding. Until present, scientists have discovered the central chamber and the connecting hallway of the tomb.
Excavation works are ongoing slowly since the tunnel might collapse.
The Popovo tomb dates back to the fourth century BC and is the oldest one discovered in Northern Bulgaria.
