The archaeological summer in the region of Kazanluk promises to be rather dynamic, director of the Kazanluk history museum Kosio Zarev said as quoted by dolina.kazanlak.com.
Talks will be carried out with Diana Dimitrova who used to work with the late Georgi Kitov concerning continuation of work on Kosmatka mound.
Research of the settlement mound near Krun will also continue. Archaeologists will focus their efforts on several mounds that have suffered the assaults of treasure hunters.
Kazanluk’s history museum will provide the funds needed for the excavation works. It hopes for an active tourism season and revenue.
