A coin from the time of Ivan Sratsimir was discovered during excavation works in the region of Panagyurishte, radio Focus-Pazardzhik reported.
The coin dates back to 1395 and proves that Krasen fortress was captured only one year before the Ottoman conquest in Bulgaria.
Archaeologists also discovered the seal of one of the last rulers of the fortress.
