Abu Dhabi may build a Formula One track near Bulgaria’s capital of Sofia.
Abu Dhabi sheikh Mohammed Abdul Jalil al Blouki and Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Traicho Traikov signed an agreement for economic cooperation.
The construction of a Formula One track is the first project idea for cooperation in the sphere of economy between Abu Dhabi and Bulgaria.
The two countries will examine further project details during coming meetings.
A joint company will work on the project development. The agreement includes common management of the future track and organization of events part of the program of Formula One World Championship.
Mohammed Abdul Jalil al Blouki is the president of state Emirates Associate Business Group (EABG).
The sheikh met Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov. They talked about opportunities for Abu Dhabi investment in infrastructure projects in Bulgaria.
