Over the past few days, 40 swans can be spotted at Varna’s beaches, moreto.net reported.
Ornithologists believe that the birds came from parks in the Czech Republic and Poland.
The swans are not scared by human presence and like being fed. Shooting the birds dead is strictly banned and fines will be imposed.
Swans arrived in Bulgaria in the end of December 2008. The birds come from Scandinavian countries and spend the cold months in the Bulgarian coastal region.
