Bulgaria’s Consumer Protection Commission (CPC) received 30 signals concerning poor service and irregularities in the coastal resorts, Cherno More newspaper reported.
Complaints decreased two times in comparison to 2008 figures. Experts believe the decrease resulted from the financial crisis and the experience that hotel and restaurant owners said.
Foreign tourists have refrained from complaining because they use all inclusive packages. If they have any complaints they address these to the tourism agency providing the package.
Most signals received in southern Black Sea resorts involve lack of invoices and menus that refrain from listing the prices of dishes.
Tourists spending their vacation in northern resorts complain about beach quality. Yet, CPC inspections registered violations in only 15 percent of the cases.
