After yet another Regional Development and Public Works Ministry tender ended, 24 beaches in the coastal region remain without concessionaires, Novinite Dnes daily reported.
No offers were received during this tender phase.
The lack of interest on behalf of potential investors is the high price of beaches. In addition, the tender was scheduled in the middle of the active summer season.
Another problem is the fact that concession contracts are not signed immediately. As a result, concessionaires will get the chance to start managing their beaches only in September.
Though the ministry decreased the initially announced concession prices, candidates are still missing.
