Albena to try attracting tourists after summer's end
from 03.10.2008 10:32       Author - Tourist Media
Despite the fact that Bulgaria is presented as an inexpensive tourism destination, it fails interesting foreign tourists, money.bg reported quoting Albena resort executive manager Krasimir Stanev.

Bulgaria finds difficulty ranking among the popular European destinations, Stanev said. The main reason for the problem is the lack of marketing strategy and good advertising campaigns that will present the country properly in comparison to its competitors.

Albena expects to maintain its revenue level from 2007. The resort registered major decrease in the number of German visits. The increase in the number of Russian and Romanian visitors compensates for the loss.

Stanev said that coastal resorts will try to attract tourists even after the season's end. Prices in October have significantly been decreased. Most hotels offer various spa procedures in an attempt to lure tourists.
